MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY SERVICES
As a professional management consultancy practice, registered with the UK Institute of Management Consultants, we provide support to clients in a number of areas. Our services are available on a project basis subject to an agreed assignment brief and project fee. ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT We work with clients to identify the objectives of the organisation, to asses the internal strengths and weaknesses and the external opportunities and threats, and to relate this to the medium and long-term development of the organisation structure. We can then work with managers in implementing the agreed actions - but ensuring that management own the outcomes. BUSINESS PLANNING During recent years managers in the education field have had to extend their responsibilities beyond the management of the teaching process. Overseas schools and independent schools in the UK have always had a much greater degree of independence than local education authority schools in the UK and have had to develop their own management processes and structure s. With the advent of grant maintained schools in the UK an increasing number of schools are developing a business planning approach. It is essential that the business, planning process supports the educational goals of the school and we provide the professional support that is needed to make the plan and its implementation successful. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT Increasing attention is being paid to the performance of individual schools, not least (but not only) in terms of the pupils' educational attainments. We can analyse and identify the key performance indicators and advise on how these can be tracked and measured cost-effectively so that they can be used as management tools in the running of the school. COMMUNICATIONS Schools particularly those which are expanding and which are of significant size, need to communicate with a wide range of audiences (including parents, prospective parents, students, sponsors, external authorities, the community and the public at large). Different audiences will require different approaches, media and materials. We can advise on the strategies likely to be most effective to meet the defined objectives and their implementation. OTHER SERVICES Through our membership of the Richmond Group we have access to colleagues working in the consultancy field across all the main management functions. We can therefore ensure, on any project, that the right skills are brought to bear while maintaining effective management of the project. |
